Boys Basketball-  The Mississinewa Indians Basketball team will clash in Fairmount with the Madison Grant Argylls Friday evening for a triple header. The games will begin at 5pm with the Freshman contest with the JV and Varsity to follow. Mississinewa comes in off of a loss to CIC Opponent Oak Hill 50-30. Madison Grant comes off of a loss as well at Hoosier Gym 74-53 at the hands of Elwood. Mississinewa (2-3) Vs. Madison Grant (1-4) look for both teams to come out with a lot of energy and look to get back to the winning side of things.  AMP 1

Girls Basketball- The Mississinewa Lady Indians and the Madison Grant Lady Argylls, those words describe it all. Madison Grant has owned the series the last 13 years 17-9. The Lady Argylls also owned the last meeting 40-35 back on January 7th. Seniors Danyelle Hutson and Maddi Evans are the two to keep an eye on for the Indians. Hutson Scored 12 in the first meeting against the Lady Indians and 7 in the second, Evans scored 4 in the first meeting and just 2 in the second. This season Danyelle Hutson averages 17ppg to go along with 3 rebounds and 3 assist per game. Maddi Evans comes in off of an up and down season scoring 30 in her first game last season against Marion, before fracturing her elbow. That would sit Evans down for almost 2 months, she returned to play in the Grant 4. This season Evans scores 9ppg with 3 rebounds and 3 assist per game. On behalf of the Mississinewa Athletic Department we would like to congratulate Maddi Evans on signing to play Softball for Taylor University. Mississinewa has 2 very talented players who can score the basketball as well. Junior Tyler Bartel is in her first full season as a Varsity player and despite that she is a starter, Bartel averages 10ppg 3 rebounds and 2 assist. Erika Foy comes into Saturday’s contest off of a historic past weekend scoring her one-thousandth career point against Oak Hill marking her the 4th Lady Indian ever in that category. Foy averages a double-double with 17ppg and 10 rebounds per game. The Lady Indians are on a 2 game losing streak. Both Madison Grant and Mississinewa come in with losing streaks and neither one of the teams want to continue that streak, Look for a very closely played matchup between the two teams. Screen Shot 2017-12-13 at 8.55.50 PM.png
