What began as an idea for a small fundraising project in October spiraled into a large community event that will occupy businesses and free spaces across West Third and Fourth streets in downtown Marion, according to Kayla Johnson the Marion Executive Director.

Even though we saw temperatures in the 50s, It looks to get even colder with the first snow fall of the season being Thursday, Winter looks to get ready to settle into the area this week. Road crews are preparing for snow fall.

The United States Postal Service has seen 10% increase in the volume of packages needing delivery this season. The USPS expects to deliver around 850 million packages and more than 15 billion pieces of mail by New Year’s Day. People this year were more interested in buying items online rather than physically going to a store more people bought on cyber Monday then Black Friday sources say.
