With the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car season over, big moves have already begun. The Biggest move yet has been Cullman, Alabama’s Kevin Thomas Jr teaming up with the winningest team in USAC Sprint Car competition, the famed Hoffman Auto Racing car 69. KT Was also the winningest driver in 2017. Kevin Thomas Jr. was the BMX Bike champion in the state of Alabama at the age of 8. After running mini-sprints he graduated to sprint cars in 2007. In 2013 he had 7 USAC Sprint car feature wins and was named “Most Improved Driver”. KT formed his own team in 2017 and won 7 USAC National races including Indiana Sprint Week and the Budweiser Oval Nationals. Thomas stated “I am grateful to add my name to a small piece of history this team is incredible”.

Sam Mcghee Motorsports and Ione, California driver Justin Grant have decided to part ways for the upcoming 2018 season. Justin Grant is currently looking and searching for more opportunities in the upcoming season. Grant is coming off of a stellar year in 2017 winning a prelim night A-main at the Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma driving for the Clauson-Marshall stable. He also won in DuQuoin, Illinois in March. Grant was the points leader the entire year for USAC Amsoil National Sprint Cars until the final 2 races when Canton, Illinois Chris Windom surpassed him and went onto win his first career USAC National Sprint Car Championship. On the other hand Sam Mcghee and his brother Max will team up for the All-Star Circuit of Champions Series, The World of Outlaws Series, and some of the USAC Sprint Car Series.Sam Mcghee Motorsports #11 Clauson-Marshall #39BC
