People have traveled far and wide for the past 30 years to reenact the events of that day last weekend at the Mississinewa battleground. While the Mississinewa 1812 battle took place 205 years ago in December.

The vendors at the 1812 packed up and are traveling home from the 1812 battle reenactment, the summer tourism season also drew to a close.

Local farmers were put behind the eight ball before planting season began due to an abnormally wet spring, though a moderate summer looks to have helped the local crops.

The Indiana Department of Transportation crews are working on or finishing about half a dozen projects throughout Grant County, according to the department the last of these should finish late next month.
