On Monday night the Mississinewa Volleyball team traveled down state road 13 to Mier to reach Oak Hill High School. Come 7pm the Lady Indians were ready to get to business, in the first set Junior Madison Stanley was laying it all on the floor. She was diving and saving the ball from hitting the ground and kept possessions alive for the Lady Indians which the would capitalize on and go on to win the first set 25-12. Erika Foy had the final point in the first set off of a spike. In the 2nd set it was Kirsten Lockwood and Halle Planck’s effort of a “soft” set over the net the prevailed the Lady Indians to win the 2nd set 25-18. And the 3rd set the Lady Indians would win that one 25-21. Erika Foy had 13 kills and 12 digs, Halle Planck added 13 kills 4 blocks and 3 digs. Kirsten Lockwood had 9 kills and 1 block, Kenzie Skeens had 39 assist. The Lady Indians travel to Eastbrook tomorrow night for their 2nd game in the conference.
