The Mississinewa Boys Basketball has been on the road for nearly a month. Now they come back home to take on Central Indiana Conference (CIC) opponent the Alexandria Tigers. Mississinewa comes into tonight’s game on a 1o game winning streak recently defeating Elwood a week ago 68-52. On the other hand Alexandria comes in off of a recent defeat to defending conference champs the Oak Hill Golden Eagles. In last year’s contest the Indians traveled to Alexandria in what may have been the biggest roller coaster of a game for the Indians. They went into overtime and had the lead with just 20 seconds left in regulation, before 5’10” Junior Matt Hensley hit a three for the tigers to tie the game at 53. On the very next possession for the Indians Junior Nolan Young went the length of the court and was fouled and hit both of his free throws to give the Indians a 2 point lead. Alexandria attempted another three following Young’s free throws the Indians grabbed the rebound and came out victorious with an overtime victory 57-53. Mississinewa (12-2) Alexandria (9-7) Freshman begins at 5pm with Jv and Varsity to Follow come out and support the Indians!
